Release of Eastern Imperial Eagle, KU490

One subadult Eastern Imperial Eagle /Aquila heliaca/, christened Dhama, was released at ricefield (the specific wintering habitat) in Phetchaburi province on 18 February 2017. The eagle was submitted to Kasetsart University Veterinary Teaching Hospital's Raptor Rehabilitation Unit (KURU) by Department of National parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation for treatment of chronic pododermatitis and anemia after receiving veterinary treatments and rehabilitation under the care given by Drs Pattarapong Jakthong and Chaiyan Kasorndorkbua for 2 months since 12 December 2016.
