Flock of tens, up to 50+ birds, have been discovered since January 2013 at the site of hill evergreen forest, 1000- 1200 meter above sea level. This form shows plumage affinity towards grey-breasted parrotbills, with remarkably rufous moustache (as opposed to white on Grey-breasted Parrotbill). The face of the form without any white feathers on, contrasting to Grey-breasted Parrotbill either /feae/ or /poliotis/, suggest that this taxon to be an undescribed race or even species.
